I made the claim for LCW in June after an operation in May, I presented medical certificates from June 2024 to January 2025, I worked and was on sick leave until the end of November where my employer fired me. in December I received confirmation that they accepted LCWRA. On January 3rd I received the first payment but no arrears. do they owe me money?

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

We will need a bit more information before we can advise correctly.

The date you made the claim for limited capability and the date you handed in your first Fit Note.

Were there any gaps in handing in your Fit Notes, any backdated ones?

The date you were notified about the LCWRA decision.

my first sick note started from 15/05/2024 the last is 9/01/2025 no gaps . I make the the claim for limited capability in June 2024 after back home from hospital

What do you mean you made the claim for limited capacity in June? Do you mean that's when you actually started your claim for UC? If so what date was that please?

If you started your claim before June then what date do you usually receive your money each month?

Im with Uc from2018 but I workings 16hours . The 16/05/2024 I got big surgery and 1/06/2024 I Bach home from the hospital and I make the claim for limited capability and I got my telephone appointment in November and 13/12/2024 the letter confirmation for LCWRA . My first payment is 03/01/2025 but no back payment

Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be June/July, July/August, Aug/Sept.. LCWRA element start from assessment period Sept/Oct and first payment will be 3rd November. As you received payment this month this means they owe you 2 months LCWRA element.

Money owed will be paid as a separate payment and often takes quite a few weeks to pay it.
