Hi I sent my 1st sicknote via journal in September thenOctober ,November, December January..Had my WCA on the 19th December and have already been to I will get LCWRA. WHEN will I get my 1st payment and also when will I receive backdated payments and how much

If you haven't yet had the actual decision then you'll need to wait for that. If you have access to a journal the decision letter will be uploaded onto there.

More information is needed for me to be able to advise.

1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?

3/ does your UC include any Transitional Protection?

You can find all of that information on your journal.

The waiting period is 3 full assessment periods. It's then paid from the 4th month after you provided your first fit note, with first payment being the end of that month. LCWRA element is not paid at all during that waiting period.

Hi poppy will answer questions now, went on journal last night to check when I gave UC my 1st fit note via journal. It wasn't September it was the 5 July t 2024 they recieve it. I have received letter on my journal telling me I've been awarded LCWRA. I usually get my UC on the 26th of the month.

MyUC doesn't include transitional protection .hope this helps you to help me. Thank you

Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be July/Aug, Aug/Sept, Sept/Oct.. LCWRA element starts from 20th Oct to 19th Nov and first payment will be 26th November. This means up to now they owe you 2 months.

This is assuming there were no gaps in your fit notes and none of them were backdated.

Any money owed will be paid as a separate payment.

Thank you so much Poppy, no thete was no gaps in my sick notes and none were backdated. Also will I get 1st payment of LCWRA on the 26th of this month ontop of my usual full UC Payment?

It depends if the DWP have had time to process the decision and add LCWRA element to your Assessment Period, we cannot answer for certain either way.
