Random extra PIP payment

Hello
I was awarded enhanced PIP for both rates in October. My usual payment went in my account yesterday morning, and today I've had an extra payment of £276, it just says 'DWP PIP' next to it. Am I correct in thinking there should be no extra payments received?
Thank you

Enhanced for both parts is £737.20 every 4 weeks. If that's how much you received yesterday then I have no idea what that amount could be for. The only way to find out is to ring them when they open at 9am. 0800 121 4433

Thank you, yes I got the normal amount yesterday so will call them today.

The extra payment was due to a miscalculation on their part when adding up my backpayment. Do I need to mention this on my UC journal, or is it discounted because its from PIP?

That’s good. No, you will not need to report it to UC. PIP doesn’t affect means tested benefits in a bad way. Money owed is disregarded from capital.
Any money unspent at the end of the period will be treated as capital. Capital of less than £6,000 is ignored. There’s a deduction for UC if you have capital between £6,000 and £16,000. Over that amount and UC ends.
