Which electric company chargers the least for standing charges
I just got my bill for electric and I am with octupus but shocked to see that my standing charge is nearly as much as my bill. just wondering who is the cheapest on standing charges

I'm with Octopus for my electric supply on a fixed tariff, standing charge is 49.98p per day, my average bill is £40.
I don't see how your standing charge can be nearly as much as your electric usage?
Edit to add…I don't think you will find cheaper than Octopus and their customer service in my opinion is second to none!

Alas, it's just mathematics - all the so-called "advantageous" tariffs are not really that. Energy companies will not miss out on their profit.
