Someone said to my mother in law that P.I.P(personal independent payment) is a means tested benefit? Is it true or are they talking aload of ****? And they said dwp are checking her account is that allowed?

That's not correct, PIP isn’t means tested. Any money left unspent at the end of the period it’s paid for is treated as capital. If claiming means tested benefits capital of more than £6,000 will affect them.

They’ve always had the ability to check any back accounts if they suspect fraud.
