hello I changed to Uc from taxcedits montys ago I was advised to apply for disability LwRA .i was awarded not fit to work on the highest which is I believe something like £400 amonth I’ve not received anything as yet . Dated from September sick notes to now ongoing the award was issued in November 2024 to date I’ve still had no payment s . This month my earnings was 0.00 because I’ve earnt 0.00 for three consecutive months I’ve been deducted £259 which is apparently called the transition payment I now cannot have this payment because I’ve earnt 0.00. ?? So we my child and I get 703 towards rent costs £333 per month for child costs and 67 a week for myself I think it works out at ?so our total is 1.370 to live on for one month - 703 rent leaving £670 to buy my medical equipment pay all bills and eat travel to gps hspts ect .so far for the first two months they also did not pay the correct rent it was 703 they paid 598 incorrect and havnt reimbursed me .for the pleaseure of the switch also landed me in £1200 debt which I don’t understand either as I certainly got nothing of the sort ,on switching and I didn’t get a loan either? I’ve tried to raise a hmrc complaint but not heard back ? Any ideas what I should do and is that correct if I’m not paid January for lwra then February will be six months I’ve been off sick with no payment not three ?any ideas I’m told no back pay for first three months oct nov dec .what happens to January payment and February? I’ve had 0.00 lwra .we were getting 1612 now only 1370?

When you first claimed UC were you working? If so how much were your earnings and when exactly did you claim UC?

When you claim UC if you work and your earnings were above the AET for the first month and they then drop below the AET for 3 consecutive months, you will lose the Transitional Protection. It sounds like this is what's happened here.

For the LCWRA element I need further information.

1/ What date exactly did you provide your first fit note?

2/ What date do you usually receive your money each month?

3/ Did you continue to provide fit note without any gaps up until the decision was made on your work capability assessment?

LCWRA was awarded mid November but my sick notes where from end of sept 2024.so I’ve now been off sick four months . My self employment earnings was low and was not over any limits when I claimed the profit was low they said back then as I was in profit that would be deducted from the claim so they did that in the period when I first switched deducted business profit from the claim which then made me £1200 in debt even tho they didn’t pay us anything for 6wks or rent .it was a mess they gave us abt 498 before any full payment in the begging they said the other 710 was owed because it was my profit,so they wanted all I earnt plus the 498 that’s why I’m now in debt plus they never paid us for six weeks or our rent so I’m basicly 3,000 down in pocket for transitioning I tried to dispute it but there’s no point government arnt listening to what’s happening. Then we had still no money it was awful . Now it’s settled so rent can be paid but they keep chopping it down and down first 1612 then reduced to repay the 1200 by £59 then the next payment was cut buy £259 because I’ve earnt 0.00 for three months ? Why have they taken away that money please ? I don’t understand how that’s justified when I’m clearly unable to work? We’ve been awarded the highest rate of LCWRA so I don’t need to supply any more sick notes and I don’t have to work but I can if I wish but need to supply figures.the figures have been 0.00 for three months .weve been given no support as yet because I’m off sick and been awarded so I don’t understand?when I asked on the phone I was told it gets backdated to my first sick note date ie September then I was told no I won’t be back dated anything and payments won’t start until three months after the start of sick notes ie sept so that oct nov dec is three months so I should be paid the end of January but that’s not happening we’ve been cut £259 this month instead ? Aparentky they will pay LCWRA the end of February but that will take it to five months of waiting for the payment of lcwra ? If they are doing it from award date in November that takes it to February and that will be six months I e been of sick waiting for the 1st payment?

In order to help we need to know your exact payment date, also the date you reported the health condition.
