hello
I have just received my latest
Universal Credit statement and it advises that after 22nd April 2025 the benefit cap may apply.
I am a single person who is currently out of work.
I receive Personal Independence Payment and l thought that l would be exempt from the Benefit cap if l received this.
Can you please advise if this is the case.

You are excluded from the benefit cap because of your PIP. It’s probably a standard message because they’ve used the word “may.”
