HI

my mother recently received her first Direct Payment for her PA, the original SW said it would be back dated to the 14th October that's when the OT assessed her and we signed the contract on the 14th November but the new key worker has said DP cannot be back dated and they have only paid from the 02.01.2025 - does anyone know where I can find out if they key worker is wrong? This is her first time doing this

    Hi @Shamu I'm really sorry you've not received a response yet. Has this moved on at all since your initial post? Have you got any written confirmation from the local authority about your award. Just thinking you might be able to contact them directly to ask about the possibility of this being back dated.
