Hi I have been off sick for 12 months, recently been placed into the support group in ESA assessment, should I let me employer know that I am unable to return

Hi @laic2025 welcome to the community. It may be worth having a talk with your employer if you don't foresee yourself returning. But if you think in a period of time your circumstances are likely to change it might be worth leaving the door open and extending your absence. Maybe take a little time to think it over if you're unsure. 🙂

long story short, I was treated badly at work which led me to be of work sick , can’t go back after what they have done to me, taking them to employment tribunal,
