My husband is self employed, how will that effect UC?
I have just applied for universal credit with my husband but he is self employed how will that affect my uc

He will need to make sure he reports being self employed and he will need to attend a gateway appointment to talk about his self employed work. The rest of my advice depends on your joint circumstances and you haven't given enough of information for me to be able to advise.
Are you migrating from another benefits? if so which ones exactly please?
Are you claiming a disability benefit yourself such as PIP/ADP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care?
Do you have dependant children that live with you?

There's also a number of other factors that can change how much you are entitled to from Universal Credit which is why Poppy has asked a few different questions 🙂

I was getting high rate dla but now I’m getting the equivalent on pip
Tbh I don’t know why it couldn’t all be left as it was for years I was getting dla and esa now I’m getting pip and uc it’s just all confusing to me
