hi I’m just really confused

I applied for LWRCA in October 2024 had my assessment on 9th January 2025 my report was sent back to UC on the 15th January. UC claim they don’t have the report but maximus are adamant they sent the report back on the 15th

I submitted my first fit note on 10th March 2024.

I’m just wondering if my report is found and accepted what would the back pay be as I know it’s from the 3rd month of you first fit note which is from June 2024-February 2025

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

What date did you report the health condition?

What date was your first Fit Note?

Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes, any that were backdated etc?

Do you claim with a partner who gets LCWRA, have Transitional Protection on your claim or receive Carers Element in your name?

Finally what is your UC assessment period or payment date?

my first Fitnote was 10th March 2024 and every three months since with no Gaps which is also the date I submitted my disability

no I don’t have a partner that claims

my assessment period is 23rd

Your UC assessment period is 23rd-22nd? Or is the 23rd your payment date?

23rd is when my statement is ready

I get paid on the 27th

My estimate is:

March/April: Partial AP, excluded from waiting period.

April/May: AP 1

May/June: AP 2

June/July: AP 3

July/August : Eligible for LCWRA element.

27th August: First LCWRA element paid

they didn’t give me my assessment with maximus until October 9th 2024 of which the assessment was sent back to UC on the 15th January 4 weeks ago and I still haven’t heard anything

What I wrote was an estimate of your waiting period and first payment if you are awarded LCWRA, as you asked about backpay in your opening post.

My estimate is you would be eligible for the LCWRA element from your August 27th payment.

Up until today that is 6 months of backpay.

If found to have LCWRA and your payment date is 27th of every month, then your assessment period dates are 21st to 20th of every month. You provided your first fit note on 10th March 2024, if that was the actual date you provided it and not the date on it then your waiting period will be as follows..

March/April.. 1 month

April/May.. 2 months.

May/June… 3 months

LCWRA starts from assessment period 21st June to 20th July and first payment will be 27th July.
