Work assessment capability for Universal credit

I am still waiting over 6 months since I filled all my details in for the assessment for work capability for universal credit.Still not heard from them,how long does it take.I am thinking about it all the time.Message universal credit they keep saying no update yet.

It depends on backlogs in your area and because of this there's no timescales. First time assessments are usually quicker than. reviews or change of circumstances.

It is ridiculous that you have to wait a long time especially when you suffer from mental health issues

UC will be unable to help, they are waiting for the assessment outcome.
You need to talk to the assessment provider, following the fornal complaint procedure if yiu wish.

I would advise you to contact the assessment provider to ask why there is such a long delay. There may be a backlog but this a very long wait.

Then contact the health assessment providers to ask for an update. If you don't know who does them in your area you can find out by looking at the link kimmy provided.
