Compliance Interview

I have just got a journal notification of a compliance interview
I’m currently in hodpitsl having had my leg amputatet Recently.
iv just been paid my DWP next day after notification. Iv listed sll my incolm and expenses properly and included a recent EBay sale and the funds I received including selling full.
Iv just been given a new flat to be able to live in with my new found dissability. I’m in hospital and not moved in yet.
I cannot understand why they need to Doris to me. Iv done every thing properly
I don’t need this stress and cannot speak in private whilst in hodpitsl on a ward.
Whst should I do?

@stump1 I'm so very sorry for the trauma you've gone through. I assume you've told them via the Journal of your situation/where you are.
I would tell them again (do you have a planned discharge date yet to postpone the compliance interview until then).
Is your new flat via a Housing Association - they usually have a Money & Benefits Team - if they've helped you would they act as an Advocate to ring them on your behalf to explain. Can you email them from where you are.
Your Journal note should be enough to postpone I would imagine. I definitely don't think it's appropriate for them to come to you either if they suggest that - you have to focus on your health, recovery and wellbeing.
If you've already told them all this and they're still insisting I'd still send them another Journal note telling them you need it escalating to a manager urgently. And I'd be sending an urgent email to your MP for their intervention.
I'm sorry I'm no specialist in benefits advice, others here may have more knowledge but I wish you all the very best in your recovery from such life-changing surgery and in your rehabilitation. If you cannot easily access email addresses or telephone numbers I'm happy to get them for you and I'd put them on here (would need the area).
Very good luck with it all, like you say, you really don't need the stress right now.

I don’t want to postpone because I don’t want to be sanctioned.
I take there csll snd explain to them my circumstances. I will write an entry on the journal to explain fully.
but I have updated the journal to inform them of my amputation. I need to inform them of my change of address.
It’s a phone call appointment not a face to face meeting. But I don’t have any information on me they may require.
Iv been in hodpitsl 17 weeks. Snd Iv just been told on Friday my stump is not healing properly and I could need a further amputation.
It’s all hard to deal with. I cannot afford to be sanctioned through non compliance.
Pressure!!

What numbers should I call?

I just hope when you speak to them they are understanding, are compassionate and do not sanction you.
Thinking of you; the pressure and stress you feel is so hard, especially when you're trying to heal, but totally understandable too and I really hope your wound starts to heal to avoid further surgery.

I will get my son to log on and do a journal entry. Let’s see what they say.

DWP replied and put phone csll off until I’m out of hodpitsl and can talk in private. Sorted!
