Lcwra

hi so I started providing sick notes on the 31st of July 2024 and have been ongoing supplying them since my payday for universal credit is 20th of each month on the 5th of febuary I was awarded lcwra in my journal im just curious as to if anyone knows how long it takes them to start paying you your lcwra and I believe I’m entitled to 3 months back payment I’ve wrote in my journal they won’t respond about how long it takes them to provide the back pay does anyone know the expectation of time for the back pay to be sent.

Back pay does take several weeks at least to calculate -it's not possible to be more specific than that I'm afraid as individual DWP workloads vary.
You'll know when it has been done as a letter with the amount owed will be added to your Journal. The money will then follow several working days later.
Please note for LCWRA:
*If you have Transitional Protection on the claim, it will reduce by the LCWRA amount.
*If you have Carers Element in your name on the claim, LCWRA will replace this as the same person cannot get both.
*If you have a partner on your claim who gets LCWRA, no money will be paid as within a couple the maximum number of LCWRA elements is 1.

Based on the information you gave your waiting period will be as follows...
Fit note reported 31st July.. Assessment period dates 14th to 14th of every month.
July/ August doesn't count because you provided your first fit note in the middle of that assessment period.
Aug/Sept.. 1 month, Sept/Oct .. 2 months.. Oct/Nov.. 3 months.. LCWRA starts from 14th Nov to 13th December and first payment will be 20th December.
