Universal credit migration question

Hi! Just a quick question, I got my migration notice a month or so ago, today I filled in all the questions, confirmed my ID online and accepted my claimant commitments.
Should I add a message on my journal that I'm migrating from the Support Group of ESA? And if so, which catogory of the journal should I write it on, there are 6 options.
Thank you.

Also, will transitional protection be calculated automatically, or should I ask for that to be applied in the journal too?

Hi,
Transitional Protection will be calculated automatically. There is no need to request it, but there's also no harm in doing so. (If you had SDP there should be a lot of TP, if you didn't have SDP then there may not be any TP.)
Again, the transition from ESA SG to LCWRA should be automatic, but it's still advised to write a note in the journal anyway.
The categories have changed recently so I'm not sure which is best. You may not have a Work Coach at all if the system is all working smoothly now (those of us with LCWRA don't have one) but if there is a category for Work Coach at this point then that would be a good one to use. If not, then the 'payment' category seems to be read most reliably.

Hi, OA! Thanks for the advice. The categories I'm seeing are..
Appointment
Change of circumstances
Job applications
Message for my work coach
Payment
Work search note
So I should maybe pop a little note about my support group migration, just in case, on the work coach or payment category? When I was filling in the UC application I did already select that I was receiving esa and that I had health conditions, hopefully it all works out okay, just a little nervous about it all! All it says on my home page is''On 19 March 2025 we will tell you how much you are going to get''.

I would put the note under work coach for now. If you don't get a response within 3 days then put another one under payment.
The statement won't be generated until mid March. I know it's a long wait but hopefully it will all be correct by then. 🙂
