Pension lump sum

Hi everyone,
I have recently applied for a lump sum of £14000 from my deferred pension. I officially become a pensioner in December 2025, when I will start receiving my state pension. Currently, I am on Universal Credit, PIP, and Employment and Support Allowance.
Universal Credit has contacted me to say they are reviewing my claim. Could this be because I applied for the lump sum?
I intend to use this money to pay off my debts and contribute to my funeral plan before I become a pensioner, rather than for any luxuries. My question is: have I made a mistake in pursuing this lump sum?
Thank you,
Jacqui

Universal Credit are reviewing millions of claims, they are selected at random so probably a coincidence.
