Hi, I've applied (early) for the new style esa, my sicknote runs out in the 28th Feb (6months on sick).

I applied last year, put in the sicknote, but I haven't heard anything back.

Can anyone tell me how it all works, I'm new to all of this

You can apply up to 3 months before your SSP ends, was your application within that time frame?

You might want to call them on 0800 169 0310 to see what's happening with your application.

@Kimmy87 yes I applied within that time frame. In the message it said they would contact me within 10 working days, but I never heard anything.

Ive just been on the phone with them, took 56 minutes to get through. Got transferred twice to a different lady, and then for the last lady to tell me i had to ring the 'helpline' to get information and she disconnected the line!!! In no further forward, and my anxiety is through the roof 😔
