UC Decision

I have recently entitled to UC as I now get the disabled element due to my daughter getting HRC.
I did the online thing and got the estimated amount. The amount I got was far less.
I get a pension from my husband through his work pension when he died.I understand they take this as unearned income and take it £ for £.
Anyway this is taxed as source so already taxed when I receive it.
UC are also taking £ for £ for what I don't receive for what the tax man gets. This seems unfair as its not somethingI have to live off as I will never receive it.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
It is currently being looked at again but its been 2 weeks and still no update on the situation.
