Hello all, I'm new to SCOPE, not really sure what its all about but I'm an ex-electrician, engineer and lecturor now housebound, I suffer from hypokalemic periodic paralysis, a mouth full I know, it means Low Potassium PP which boils down to i suffer from paralysis and weakness when i awaken, i don't know how bad its going to be or if its going to get better or worse. I hate it, I don't have it that badly but i do have some permanent muscle weakness due to repeated attacks. I can stand most the time but it gets better but mostly worse. I'm 53, i feel a 153, I live alone, i'm isolate most of the time. Most of the time if i get an attack i just have to wait it out and hope it doesn't get worse. I have had repeated neggative experiences with the NHS, discrimination, being lied about, being lied to, yata yata yata but they are a bit under the gun so no need to labour the point. I do spend a repeated amount of time considering what i must have done in a previouse life to have warrented this journey but every burden has it's lesson and I'm always ready to learn. So in closing, i'm here to learn, share my journey and it's lessons and you never know maybe improve my lot by extention.
