PIP Timeframe February 2025

Hi, I am about to submit PIP claim form within next few days. Does anyone know when the assessment is likely to be. How many days or weeks before the assessment do you receive the appointment letter. What can you do if you have dates you are not available because you have made travel arrangements. Do I write on the PIP form dates I am not available, or do I wait for the appointment letter and then request to change the assessment date if necessary. Thanks in advance

Hi @yasin, unfortunately it's really difficult to say what your timeline will be as it's different for everybody. Some of our members might be able to share what their timelines were though, just as a guide. Some find it's really quick and others find it can take months to get an assessment, it varies a lot.
You can write the dates on your form if you want to, but you should be able to rearrange your assessment if you're unable to attend. Hope it all goes through okay 😊

New claims are generally quicker than reviews.
