Hello, I am an amputee and it was tough at first. Was in the dumps at first and it took one step to accept my lower left leg was gone in 2005. I am an US Marines veteran losing my lower left leg after being shot there twice doing major damage to the bone during my 3rd tour in Iraq. I do have my life back wearing a prosthetic leg which I have two of them. One is with a stationary foot and other has an adjustable foot so I can wear my high heeled shoes

I do get a disability check from the VA every month too although I still work. I have my own shop fixing vehicles, semi trucks and heavy equipment and been doing this for 13 year now. Started working at a shop at first and decided I wanted to go on my own in 2011 starting in 2012
