Long carers allowance delays

Hi my name is Steve. I am a carer for my wife. I am trying, without success, to reactivate my carers allowance payments after the account was suspended while my wife was in hospital. So far I have contacted them 7 times over a period of 13 weeks. They have escalated my request and finally I lodged a complaint as I have had no communication from them during this process other than when I have contacted them myself. They give no explanation as to why the payments have not started again. Has anyone had a similar experience or can offer any advice on what to do next. Many thanks.

How long ago was the complaint made?
Contacting your MP for assistance would be my recommendation.

Thanks. The complaint was made on 21 February, I believe you have to allow 15 working days for a reply. If I don't hear again I will contact our local MP.
