in Universal Credit (UC)

Hi, can someone help my dad just got carer element on a joint claim uc my mum gets lcwra my dad the carer element they didn't now they could claim tje carer element my question is pip was awarded to my mum in 2023 the uc claim started I think years ago do we request back pay for the start off pip or uc.

    Yes you can request backpay to the start date of the PIP.

    Hi, r u sure its start off pip bckpay and not uc lcwra start. Aa my mums pip stated in aug 2023. The carer element uc started in feb 2025.

    Yes PIP is the qualifying benefit for Carers Element, not LCWRA.
