Dual Claim on UC

hello all I'm very new here and wondered what Dual Claim means when you migrate to UC. Long story short I've completed my form to UC then I had a letter to say that I'll be also moving to New Style ESA as I was getting IR and CB ESA I hadn't known this as I always thought I was IRESA Support Group. I'm single live alone disabled mental and physical. The phone call I've just had with the JCP was to accept commitments for NS ESA that's going to be paid separately, IR amount with disability elements paid on UC Housing Element too, the lady mentioned it will be a Dual Claim, does this mean I will still get the Transitional Element on UC as SDP doesn't get paid on UC, I'm getting my statement on 5/3/25 payment on 9/3/25 nothing has been set in stone so to speak I just never heard this mentioned before the Dual Claim for ESA and UC and will I get a statement for ESA like before by letter form thank you in advance

also nobody gets carers allowance or elements for caring for me. Reason for the added disability add one from my IR ESA Claim.

Dual claim just means you get two benefits, NS ESA & UC.

Yes you should get a letter from ESA confirming the amount you will be paid, and an annual uprating letter. The same as your ESA communications before.

New Style ESA is £276.40 paid every fortnight. £598.86 will be deducted from your UC award. This looks more than you receive but is correct. ESA is a weekly benefit and there are 4.3 weeks in a month. UC is paid monthly.

No this doesn't effect you receiving Transitional Protection.
