Hi, my name is aurorab! i have had post herpetic neuralgia for the past 4 months ...

i have had post herpetic neuralgia for the past 4 months following an extensive bout of shingles on my back and front torso. the relentless nature of the pain has been difficult to handle mentally, i have been on gabapenting for months, it does not work completely, it has helped with the spasmodic pain which is now just pain no spasms. it is still an incredible sensitive area and no creams seems to work (I have tried several as suggested by people with PHN.
i have had 2 sessions of lazer therapy and it made no difference, infact one day it felt worse after the session, i am running out of patience and PHN makes me very lazy, i dont want to walk anywhere and i look forward to going to bed. I have an autoiimune disorder which i know its a contributing factor. any ideas of how others have coped?
