I have received a migration letter from DWP to move from ESA support group to Universal Credit. My husband is also on my claim and he receives PIP. Having looked at how much the UC for couples over 25 (monthly)is compared to the monthly payment of ESA I calculate a difference of around £260. How are we supposed to manage with such a deficit which now includes putting aside rent money? Please offer any clarity on our situation.

If your UC award is lower than legacy benefits, Transitional Protection will be added to your claim so at the time of transfer, you aren't worse off.
This does erode over time as other elements go up or new elements are added to your claim.
Do you yourself receive any PIP Daily Living?
