Do pip ask you to renew your claim?
Hi, I was awarded pip after 15 months and a tribunal in January. The length of the award is 28 months, backdated from Oct 2023 until Feb 2026, but given the time it took to get it I'm already worrying about renewing it! As anyone who has claimed for IBS probably knows it was a massive challenge getting it in the first place and now I'm wondering if they will actually write to me before the claim ends or whether I should ring them 6 months before it finishes? Given that they never wanted to award me and it was a tribunal am I likely to have to go down the tribunal route again? Is that even possible with a renewal or would you have to put a new claim in?!

You will be contacted for the review process to start, this can be 8-11 months (roughly) before your current award ends. As renewals are taking so long for the DWP to complete.
Each renewal is treated as a new application so yes it's possible to go down the tribunal route should the need arise.
