Mistake Made on PIP Review Form

Hello Everyone,
Someone else filled in my PIP review form for me and sent me a copy. I've checked it and it states that I don't drive. I have access to a vehicle and rarely drive, but I do occasionally drive short distances.
How do I let the DWP know this? I'm always terrified that they'll stop PIP and this mistake is taken as being dishonest.
Any information/advice is most welcome.
All the best,
M

Hi, do you know whether your form has been sent to the decision maker yet? If it has, you can contact them. If it hasn't, you can contact the assessment provider.

Hi OverlyAnxious and thanks for your response.
It was posted on Friday, so I imagine it will go to the decision maker first.
Not sure if I telephone them or put it in writing. Scared of doing either.

Sometimes they send a text when the forms have been received so you can roughly work out where they are in the system.
In this case, it would be better to call them if you can. That way they should be aware of the error before they read the forms. If you put it in the post, it's likely to take as long, if not longer, than the original forms, and by that point it might be too late.
For reference though, I really don't think this error will cause any problems. If you end up having a verbal assessment then you can easily correct it at that point. It's only if it's a paper based assessment that you wouldn't get the chance to correct it. But as I say, I really wouldn't be too bothered by this error. They will know you haven't filled in the form yourself as the person doing it has to declare that they're doing it on behalf of someone else.

That makes sense, thank you. I just get anxious and really worry about anything to do with PIP.
Thanks again 😄

I was diagnosed with FND Last October and I was made to retire in December last year because of my doctors report, saying that I would never be able to work again because of my health and no cure for FND . I applied for pip and got turned down but on checking a copy of my form everything was changed to what I had said this was done by someone from pip .
I have permanent dizziness and always very tired, I have to use a cpep machine that I told pip and that was also charged.
This is now going to court so that I can claim pip but I understand pip is changing over to UC soon .

Hi,
Just to confirm, PIP is not changing to UC. They are entirely different benefits with different criteria and eligibility checks. UC is about ability to work. PIP is about ability to complete daily living tasks.
