Hi, my question is about my rights on LCWA. I'm on LCWA at a High Rate and my wife is working full time, we have a joint claim on universal credit. We also have two children under the age of 16 years old. I've read that I can hand in my notice and i wouldn't get a sanction for doing this. is this still the case ?. As when i spoke to the DWP about this I was told that they aren't expecting me to look for work or do any any work activities. so to myself this isn't a straight answer from them. As I'm still on the sick all though my sick pay has just run out and my employer now wants me to give him access to my medical records so he can see if there is thing they can put in place to help myself to continue working as a mot tester, I've already been giving in sick/fit notes which have my doctors details on them and when i start i filled in the employment medical form. I have stress/anxiety, Emphysema, Migraine Variants, Coronary artery disease, pancreatic cysts, Hypertension. I was told in the 90's to stop work by the DWP but i decided to keep working for as long i could and wait for when my body was telling me it's had enough, so I was given a Disability medical green card by the DWP at that time in the early 90's for severe disability migraines but that card only lasted for 3 years so I never bother getting another placement card because I was trying to raze my first family at that time and the Mrs. wouldn't help by getting a job.

regards,

Brian

    Hi,

Yes, as long as you were awarded LCWRA (not just LCW) then there won't be any consequences to you stopping work.

Hi, is it still the case that people on lcwa can hand in there notice and they wouldn't get a sanction. As my boss has said that he feels that there isn't anything he can put in place for myself to return to work.

With LCWRA you have no work commitments. So no consequences to handing in your notice.

Go into 'Report a Change', then 'Work & Earnings' to report that you are no longer working. There's no need to add a message to the journal at this point.
