Lcwra health journey appointment 🤷♀️

Hi I receive universal credit and also carers element on my universal credit, I have never had to attend an appointment due to me being a carer for my son, I have recently since January been sending in fit notes due to my own health, I have recently filled in the uc50 form and has been sent off, and today I have received an appointment on my universal credit journal to attend a commitments review and also a message saying this ( We have booked you an appointment next week to discuss further support which we can offer whilst you are on the Health Journey.) I don't understand what this means 😕 I have replied in my journal I cannot attend that appointment due to my mental health and I also have my child at home due to him not being at school anymore he has profound autism non-verbal with extreme challenging behaviour and I cannot physically take him with me to this appointment. I dont understand why they have asked me to attend this appointment because I am currently in receipt of carers element and carers allowance also I didn't think I would have to attend an appointment whilst I'm caring for more then 35 hours a week? Does anyone know what that appointment is actually for at all. Thankyou.

How long do you wait for the uc50 form as I think our job center is up to something 🤔 I've to many health conditions to list but everyone has a severe impact on my dayliy life & living . Not to mention the lack of sleep I've suffered for yrs.

FForgot To mention I had to attend the first initial appointment, then they realised how bad was I can get rather verbally insulting which kicks off my adhd & I have to be calmed down , the next appointments were video but I kept going to the loo as I suffer bowl & bladder issues , so my last appointment is a phone call , which will be fun as I havnt spoken on any phones for over 10 yrs , can't do it 😢 😞 😕 , and I hate all these stupid names there using , health journey,,makes it sound like it's all wonderful and lovely, well like yourself ,it's not it's tough it's hard and these changes are all bad 😢 it's very very worrying for lots of people and yes having to lay bare person stuff to dwp strangers is totally out of order and very degrading.

Hi,
Unfortunately sending in the fit notes has automatically triggered the start of your 'health journey'. If you are found unfit for work and awarded LCWRA then you will get more money than the Carers Element currently provides, so there is a financial gain to be had by going through the work capability process.
The UC50 isn't likely to be enough on it's own, you will probably have to some sort of assessment as well. Hopefully the Job Centre will be able to accommodate your needs, but they cannot just stop the health process now.
