Housing element while owing different property?

Hi all, I need some advice on housing element. I currently live in a house that I part own with my ex partner. We both have a 8 year old son. I have been living at the joint owned property since we have split and now my ex wants to move back into the property. I don't want my ex to move back in but as I have been living in the property but I would be okay moving out to find somewhere closer for work. I did look into housing support element as I am on universal credit. Would I be entitled to full housing support if I where to find a rental property even though my name is on the deeds of another property I will no longer be living in. I won't be gaining any financial benefit from the property I part own. Thanks for your time!

Once you are no longer living there, the property that you part own won't be excluded forever, once the property value is counted as part of your capital you are very unlikely to have any entitlement to UC, that includes Housing Element.
I would get expert advice from a trained advisor before you make any changes.
