What's going on with PIP?

Hi all, I'm absolutely terrified of losing PIP. I'm on standard rate for both and can barely survive on what we get now. But I've been too frightened to look at any news or articles. Not only that, I don't understand any of it. When is this going to happen? I was due review in Dec 2024 but got a letter saying they've extended it till Feb 2026 so they could ring at any time. My forms have already gone in (before Dec 2024) and that's when I got the letter stating they'd extended it. Can someone please update on what the plans actually are? Thanks!

Hi,
The basic difference is that we will all need minimum of 4 points in at least one daily living descriptor. It will no longer be enough just to get 1's and 2's in each section.
We are expecting this to be applied from November 2026.
As long as your review is completed before November 2026 then the current rules should still apply.
