Hi, my name is MJD72! When will I hear about my WCA and does it get backdated?

Hi everyone, can anyone advise me on roughly how long a decision normally takes after completing the LCW universal credit phone assessment and does it get back dated? I'd requested the UC50 forms and supplied fit notes from Feb 20 up until Apr 22nd. I have the phone assessment on the 4th April. Thanks everyone

Timescales are anything up to 12 weeks for a decision.
No extra money is paid for LCW.
LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, dating from when the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.
Any gaps in Fit Notes will effect when the waiting period is started from. Please note it's not the date on them that counts, it's when they were given to UC.

Hey there @MJD72 and welcome to the community.
If you're found LCWRA, then there will be a 3 month assessment period, then you'd start receiving the LCWRA element in your usual UC payment.Just to check, did you mean Feb 20th up to April 22nd, or did you mean March 22nd?

Sorry, my fit notes were supplied from Nov 20/11/24 until 20/01/25. Then another from 21/01/2025 until 21/04/2025. I have the phone assessment on the 4th April

You need to supply another Fit Note 22/04 if you haven't had a decision.
I can estimate a timeline for a LCWRA decision if I have the below information:
What is your Assessment Period date?
What date did you report the health condition?
Do you receive any Transitional Protection on your claim?
If so, how much please.
(It'll be on your payment statement if you do get it)
