Hi, my name is JamJarJal! Potential job role change, but problems travelling to site. What can I do?
I have been given notice that my role is under threat of redundancy, and I have been added to a pool of 3 for which there will be 2 roles. Both of these roles are located 40 miles away ( the other 2 people in my pool already work at that site). Due to health conditions and having a medical driving license, I am unable to drive that far. The pool I have been put in is being judged on skills, and I would probably be the most experienced and qualified of the 3 people. But where will this put me if I can't travel? I currently work 30 hours a week mainly from home but live 2 miles from my current site ( which will stay open with a skeleton staff)

Hi there @JamJarJal and welcome to the community.
This sounds like a very stressful time for you, I'm so sorry. Unfortunately I'd be unable to say what would happen as that would be up to the company. Though if you were looking for some employment law help or just workplace advice, I'd recommend speaking to the fine folk at ACAS. But I'll keep everything crossed for you. Hopefully your experience and qualifications will see you through. 😊0
