when updating capital every month on UC journal it asks if any of it is from benefit back pay , I had a pip back pay but the 12 month disregard is up so should I say no ?

    This is an interesting question, as the form didn’t used to ask about backdated benefits at all.

    I haven’t seen the question or any official guidance on this, but if I were filling it in, I would still say ‘yes’, it is from backdated benefits (because it is). Hopefully, the form will then ask for more details so they can decide what should or shouldn’t be ignored.

    Most claimants won’t know whether their money is meant to be ignored or not. Have you tried asking about this on your journal to see what they advise?
