Hello

Hoping someone can help me figure this out.

So I submitted my medical evidence on 24th December 2024. My assessment period runs from 24th to 23rd each month and I am paid on 30th each month.

(Fit note 1 ran from 20/12/24 - 19/3/25 and 2 from 20/3/25 - 19/6/25).

I finally had my WCA today (1/4/25). I know it can take up to 12 weeks for a decision to be made.

My question is, as 3 months have technically passed, if I am put in to the LCWRA group and awarded extra money, would there be any back pay or not?

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

Based on the information given my estimate would be:

November/December: Partial Assessment Period not counted for waiting period

    December/January: AP 1

    January/February: AP 2

    February/March: AP 3

    March/April: Eligible for LCWRA element

30 April: First LCWRA element paid..
