Problem with paperwork!
I have had epilepsy for a long time now and sometimes straight after a seizure my muscles tense up to the point I can't stand up let alone walk I rarely drink alcohol. However... About seven years ago on a night out I admit I had a few glasses wine, I don't think I had a seizure but know I fell and couldn't move. I related this to my consultant and the words FUNCTIONAL. ALCOHOLIC is now included in every note or consultation despite all blood tests etc etc being negative after a seizure, if I try to correct them I am ' in denial ' or ' playing it down ' not sure what to do about it as the first question I'm asked is ' and how about the drinking? ' I can't convince them otherwise !!!

Hi @kate1968
You can request a formal review of your medical records, sometimes a healthcare provider may update or remove inaccurate/misleadig information.
There is information on this page on Your right to get your data corrected
It may be worth contacting PALS and explaining what has happened and seeing if they are able to provide any further on what can be done.
