Hi,I gave up work in 2022 to care for my husband. He claims esa and is in a support group ( contribution based) he also gets high rate pip and mobilty. I have a private pension and have been told i may be entitled to carer allowance as i look after him for 35 hours or more?

Will my pension be taxed if i claim carer allowance or will his ESA be reducef?

    How much ESA per fortnight does he get?

    This will tell me if it's just CB ESA, or CB with an IR top up.

    Hi he recieves £270.08 a fortnight

    ESA rates are .00 or .05 so I'm confused why his payment is £270.08 a fortnight

    Is your pension perhaps deducted from the amount he gets?

    If that's the case do you know how much his ESA is before deductions?
