Residential Care.

Hello everybody after a prolonged hiatus due to various health conditions, I have finally managed to get into residential care, I should have done this ages ago, but I finally took the plunge, and guess what? I couldn't be happier, I now know that at the press of a button, someone will be there 24/7 365 days a year, So if anybody out there is thinking about doing this, I would say, do it without a doubt. Wilshyboy.

Thanks so much for this comment; it is good of you to explain the benefits of residential care; people can be so unsure about their next steps. I hope it works out for you and that you get the care you deserve. Again, thank you, best wishes, E xx

Hi @Wilshyboy, I'm really glad to hear you're getting on okay in residential care š I'm sure it'll be nice for others to read that it's worked out for you too, I know it can be really daunting making that step.

Hello @Rosie_Scope, It was to start with, but the place I am in is perfect, lovely carers who nothing is too much trouble for, the lady in charge managed to find me, a table & chairs and a two-seater sofa, and a base for my bed, as my old one would not fit through the door of my old place, and one of the team leaders has found me a bookcase, the food here is delicious and as much or little as you want, every week a menu is brought round with a choice of four main courses, and four puddings, there is also activities most days, so you can join in or not I also get my laundry done for me as well, all I have to provide is powder and conditioner. So anybody who is dithering, bite the bullet and do it ASAP, you know it makes sense.
