Mental health & sickness

I have been in paid employment by a mental health charity for nearly 3 months now I disclosed it all my MH on my health questionnaire & medication. I have had 3 separate single days off sick. I am still in my 6 month probation .I have just disclosed this to a manager that wasn’t aware of it. Are my sick days better for being because of my long term illness or physically sick ? Tia

Hi @traceypeacock, it may be worth speaking to HR or your line manager about this if you're able to. Some charities will have different policies for their sick days that might treat long term illness or disability-related sick days differently to other illnesses like coughs and colds, but it's difficult to say for certain as it'll vary between charities.
They may be able to advise you a bit better themselves than we can, but I hope some of our members might have some experience to share too 😊
