Does anyone have memory problems and if so what help are you receiving

Hi, I have memory problems and have for many years but my memory problems are getting much worse. I was referred to an organisation for my memory problems which is the same organisation that is dealing with my ptsd. I suffer from nightmares and they have said they will not deal with my memory problems until they have dealt with my nightmares.
They have been dealing with my nightmares for four years and I have seen no change, but my memory is getting worse each month. My GP has said they are the only organisation he can refer me to but they have refused the referral until the nightmares have been fixed.
I could be getting treatment for the next four years for my nightmares while my memory gets much worse. So, I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas and what their GP has advised them or referred them to.
I am now running out of ideas. My memory is so bad that the other day I was talking to a repair man who came out to my property and it was a disaster, I could not remember lots of things during the conversation. I feel like I am being ignored by the health service.

I had memory loss from an accident around ten years ago but in the past year or so it has got worse. The GP uses one organisation who are treating me for nightmares and they have said they will not deal with the memory until the nightmares are fixed. There must be a section in the NHS I can go to

Yes, My memory is in rapid decline. I was putting it down to menopause for years, but not so sure now. I've constant brain fog,I can't rem names of things,I tried to rem what a curtain was the other day. The name alluded me. But this is a daily thing for me, I've v bad sleep pattern the past 40 years. I also have amongst other things severe digestive problems that can do weird things to the body you wouldn't believe, memory loss, confusion etc to name but a few .I've said to my gp a number of times about my memory, I just got a blank look. A family member has to deal with my numerous medications as I take them and don't rem inside seconds if I had. It's getting ridiculous now.

Has the GP not done anything. I am trying to find answer of who I can contact to get help and get answers on why this is happening and what I can do to solve it. I feel like no one is listening to me when I ask for help.

@happyman If I could get an appointment I'd be lucky, I've at least five issues I need sorted and don't know where to start. My GP is not very responsive to much at the best of times, she let me go around doubled over for two years with chronic pain in my right side, I mean I was in agony, before she'd even send me for an ultrasound. Anyone I mention her name to says "Oh my god,not her" she's useless, she won't believe anyone, no matter how unwell you are"!
I had five chest ,throat infections last yr, lost my voice, and hearing in one ear, I only reported the three times out of the five, the fist and second time the GPS i spoke to gave me really heavy antibiotics and steroids, third time ,I got my own GP on the phone, she said oh I see that was a v junior GP you got last time, whatever the hell that means, I wanted to say, so?
She didn't do anything differently the one before her did, and if I'd said she was junior my gp would have bitten my face off.
Then she proceeds to give me the same medications the other two did.🤣 Go figure.
