An awkward Hello

I joined this community following links from a petition website a few months ago. Since then I have received emails encouraging me to say 'Hello' ... so here it is. Although I don't see what can be gained from it really. Can't hurt though can it? I suppose my days are similar to a lot of people here. I awaken in pain, spend most of the day alone, I don’t go anywhere, I am lonely, I am bored and the future is a very dark space. I have osteoarthritis and as you all probably know it can only ever get worse. I am on PIP and Universal Credit. I don't follow the news, haven't seen TV news or read a newspaper since covid. Obviously Keir Starmer's plans to stop giving us money has not escaped my notice. But I try not to think of that. The anxiety is overwhelming. Avoid avoid avoid. I don't really know what to do with my life. I am only 50 but it is a hard fact to digest... I am of no use to society anymore... and I can feel every painful syllable of that sentence. It hurts when I sit, stand, lay, walk. It's constant and it's for the rest of my life. I do have reasons to live! Of course. I have a very loving partner who would move heaven and earth if she could. She works a lot though. I have a wonderful son, his partner and their 6 month old baby. Such a beautiful little boy. It isn't 100% miserable. But my world is very small. Anyway. I am here. I have done what was asked of me by scope and now I shall take my leave. Cheers, all the best. May your day be an easy one!

Hi there Topher, you beat me with your first post by a minute! LOL! I'm so sorry to hear you're in so much pain. I'm glad you have your son and his wife to cheer you up, and a grandson is wonderful! They're so cute funny when they're little, but you don't have to do all the hard work looking after them. 🤣 Hugs from windy Liverpool
