(Part 1) And the journey begins!

I am 73 and have serious walking issues (3 operations and still debilitating pain). I have had a couple of boot scooters, and currently have a TGA Breeze S4. This is a heavy duty scooter, with good batteries, suitable for long journeys. I decided I needed something a bit more 'modern' and more suitable for all-terrain.

Though the TGA Breeze is ok, I felt I needed a scooter that may be less heavy. I bought a Pride Ranger 2, which is pretty much a quad bike. This was a 2nd hand unit with 14 day 'cooling off' period. I instantly noticed it was very noisy. Though the speed went up to 15 mph ,(illegal), it was obvious that a previous owner has "adjusted" the speed limiter. Noise from the motors was unbearable. I contacted the scooter dealer and asked them to take it back. They agreed without any hassle, to be collected 23 May 2025.

I decided to look at GREEN POWER ZT4. It is a similar style to the Pride Ranger but a little smaller and much lighter. I put in a bid on eBay for a ZT4 and as I write, I am awaiting the outcome. Take a look at my next post (Part 2) when I get the result about my Dream Machine - ZT4.

I have a Breeze S4 and am very happy with it. I believe that EU models can travel at 15 mph, but UK models are governed to 8 mph. I wouldn't want to go any faster, as it would use up the charge so much quicker.

If I could fit it around the side of my house ( The S4 is a struggle as it is, numerous scrapes making the two 90 degree right turns), I would like a Scooterpac Invader.

I agree with you. My Breeze S4 has been a stalwart over the past 2 years. In my own opinion, I simply need a scooter that is a ewer design. I have just tried the Pride Ranger 2 which resembles a quad bike but the motors are way too noisy. The Green Power ZT4 seems to be a great design as an all terraiterrain scooter but looks smart enough for a runabout. It is on order so I am hoping it will become my dream machine.

I wish you luck with your new scooter, but I just quickly looked, and it has an 800w motor. Will that have the power for any off the road driving? The S4 has a 1400w motor.
