could anyone help with lcwra?

my daughter was assessed 15 April 25 and decision 22 April 25 awarded.

first claim for uc was 6 sep 24 & first fit note was 10 sept 24. fit notes have been provided each time requested.

she usually gets her payments 28th of the month. can anyone help with when her lcwra will start please? thank you

Did she first report the health condition on 6th, and provided Fit Note on 10th?

Were there any gaps in handing in Fit Notes? It's the date they are given to UC that counts, not the start date written on them.

yes that’s right first fit note was provided on the 10th

LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods, from the date the first Fit Note was handed in. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

My estimate of your daughters waiting period:

August/September: Partial Assessment Period, not included for waiting period

September/October: AP 1

October/November: AP 2

November/December: AP 3

December/January: Eligible for LCWRA element

January 28th: First LCWRA element paid.

Up until today she is owed 3 months LCWRA element.

Once you receive the decision, UC need time to process before LCWRA is added to her monthly payment, and backpay calculated.

Money owed is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know this has been done when a letter is added to her Journal confirming the amount they owe her.

She'll then receive the money into her bank account several working days later

her normal payment is due 28th april so it’s unlikely to be paid with this? is lcwra usually paid on the same date as uc?

Once the decision has been fully processed, LCWRA will be added to her statement and paid with her UC each month.

It will be on there this month if they have processed the decision in time. I wouldn't worry if it's missing as only a few days between the decision and the statement being released.
