Hi,

I’m Mum to Alister who turned 28 last month. Alister lives at the nursing home within The Epilepsy Society in Chalfont St Peter and we only live 10 mins away so I am able to visit most days. Alister has respiratory problems as well as his CP and requires care 24 hours per day.
Would love to hear from anyone who may be in a similar position

    Hi @Alister1

Welcome to the community. I'm Sara and one of the CP Specialists within the CP Network team.

I've heard great things about the Epilepsy Society's Chalfont Centre from my acquaintances in the epilepsy community. I also have CP and epilepsy.

We have a wonderful cerebral palsy community within Scope. We host monthly Zoom meetings on the second Wednesday of each month, which you are welcome to join with Alister. It's a space to access resources, have conversations and connect with others. I've included the link here. CP Network

There is a great Facebook page called Cerebral Palsy Adult Advice It's an informative place where you can ask questions, read through the posts and connect with those who have lived experience.

I hope this information helps. If you have any further questions, please contact our team.
