Hi @podricks -& welcome to this friendly & supportive community.

It will take some time for these, as yet proposed changes to PIP & about the Work Capability Assessment (& LCWRA) to be put in place. The earliest, about PIP being in November 2026, so try if you can not to worry about these at the moment.

Hi @podricks and a warm welcome to the community!

I know it's much harder said than done but if you can, please try not to worry about the changes as there is still well over a year until they come in

Hi @podricks welcome to the community. You're not alone in feeling worried, many of our members have felt upset by the proposed changes and we've all been supporting each other. We have a discussion about the proposed changes here if you'd like to join in.

Scope also have a page about what the changes might mean:

Changes to disability benefits: what you need to know | Disability charity Scope UK

I hope the community can provide a place to talk about how you're feeling with people who understand.

Have you got any support for your mental health at the moment?

Hope you're doing okay today 💜
