UC Application Form Question

Hello,
I have received a UC Migration Notice but haven't applied yet. I have been looking at the dummies form someone put on the forum. My question is in the Council Tax section it says have you applied for a discount? with multiple choice answers of yes, have applied, no, but will apply and not going to apply for discount. My question is I am migrating over and already get Council Tax Support which I know you have to reapply for when making a UC claim, which option do I choose. Yes, I have applied or no, but will apply. My area is Manchester which they say they will treat UC claim as Council Tax Support claim but I don't want to click wrong option. Thank You

If you already get Council Tax Reduction then the correct answer is "Yes I have applied".
You don't reapply for CTR when a UC application is made, but your local authority will reassess your award based on the change from legacy benefits to UC.
Each local authority has different rules for Council Tax Reduction, some treat UC differently legacy benefits and this means some people have seen an increase in what they need to pay towards Council Tax.

OK, thanks Kimmi. I thought that might be the answer but just wasn't sure. I want to be prepared when I do apply. Thank You again.
