Hi everyone I had my telephone assessment for my pip review 11 weeks ago I've had the assessment report all looks to be good, I rang today for an update and was told its with a case manage for an 'Enhanced review decision' what does that actually mean? Never heard them say Enhanced review before. He also said there's 2 reviews going on atm 1 for my new claim (which it isn't a new claim it's a review)

Thanks for any help if given.

Excellent you had a good assessment!

Are you on the Standard Rate of PIP? All I can think is you are being considered for the Enhanced Rate of PIP which will be an increase in the money you receive. That is how it reads to me. DWP said "Enhanced review decision" - meaning Enhanced is the review decision! There is not an enhanced review.

    Best of luck!

    Thankyou for your reply.

Yes I'm currently on standard daily living. By my review assessment report they've scored me 15pts for daily living and 12 for mobility.

Anxiety is through the roof as Google gives of answers as if 'enhanced review' is for fraud purposes

The points you have received within your assessment for both Daily Living and Mobility are Enhanced Rate points, meaning those points will get you Enhanced Rate on both elements of PIP. So you are being reviewed for Enhanced Rate on both elements of PIP. That is why the DWP said "Enhanced review decision" (Enhanced decision)!

    Well done!

Oh great maybe I'll stay of Google in future haha, you've eased my nerves for now much appreciated, the review forms was due back in January 2024 only had assessment Feb 2025 he did say it would be back dated if a higher award is made seen mixed decisions on that too?

Happy you have relaxed. Obviously wait until you get the decision letter but all is looking very good! You should get backdated money, but I have read threads on this forum where no backdated money was given? But in your case you should get it!

    Ignore what Google is saying!

Hopefully not much longer for a decision then. Yeah I've read the same about the back dated money not to fussed either way aslong as the decision is correct. Thanks again I will update once I've got the decision 🙂

Great! To be honest it is looking very good for you, so don't worry, but it is always better to have the decision letter obviously. Please keep us informed!

They recieved the assessment report 5 weeks ago, was told may take 6 weeks to hear from us. Hopefully the decision isn't to far away 🤞 I'll update with the outcome.

Just thought I'd update more, called again today as its been 12 weeks in total since review assessment, and they have clarified on the phone that it's been passed to the enhanced review team to look more closely at it and they will contact me.. so I'm assuming there going to want more evidence 🤔

Never come across that. They may contact you on a few points, as a forum member had the same on a MR.
