unsure what to do..

Wondering if anybody could give me some advise, I'm on UC only about 2 months, I have lymphedema in both legs, from Cancer 17 yrs ago, but family member said I might be able to claim disability, I don't know anything about this claiming, i have worked in all that time but it has taken its toll sometimes but battled on, but it's getting a bit difficult now, I'm 60, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
PIP is based on your functional ability, not any individual diagnosis.
There are two sections. Daily living tasks and Mobility tasks.
You need to score at least 8 points in a section for a Standard award. Or at least 12 points for an Enhanced award.
You can see a list of the descriptors here, with the points score beside them.
If you believe you would score minimum of 8 points in either section then you should apply for PIP.
