Rent Increase in April is being taken from my Transitional Amount.

Hi everyone, I am so lost. I do hope you can help me please. I migrated over to U/C in November from Housing Benefit and ESA. I received the Transitional Amount so as I was no worse off. My rent increased in April and they have taken the rent increase amount, the difference between last years and this years rent, from the Transitional Amount. They agree my rent isn't over the rent cap yet I was told that this is how it works. I was meant to be no worse off but yet only 6 months on I am. Can someone please advise me if the person/people I am communicating with are right or has a mistake been made please? 🙏 I can't sleep as I am so anxious and I'm worried that if I call again this may mess my claim up again. It's happened 4 times for different reasons in just 6 months. I know it's all new and errors will be made but I'm living day to day life on nerves alone now

I don't know why but any benefit increases or rent increases will be deducted in full from tp. This isn't a mistake i'm afraid.
